Production techniques
the inventor of woven carpet
The carpet principle originated from the rush culture. Mats of approx. 50x50 cm (or larger) were sewn together. The result was floor covering. Jan Bosman made an important invention. He devised the typical Jabo carpet in a width of 400 cm. Broadloom.
Almost as a matter of course he chose the production method of weaving. Very stable and very strong. By now there are many more ways to produce carpet. With the weaving machine as a permanent basis.
weaving
Woven carpet has two important characteristics: durability and structure.
The principle is simple: combs go up and down. The warp (longitudinal thread) moves forward. And each time a coil shoots with the weft from left to right. The result is a stable and powerful fabric. Only one backing remains before the carpet can be upholstered.
The second characteristic concerns the structure. By playing with settings of combs, distance and the like, the most beautiful structures are created. Typical Jabo we could say.
tufting
The principle of tufting is simple. Needle and thread drill through a ground cloth. With a cut pile (e.g. the soft collections) the thread is always cut. In the case of a so-called loop pile the thread is not cut. And that hundreds of times at the same time at full width.
When developing products, we first look at the desired optics. That determines the production method. In other words: the advantages of the chosen production method are visibly present.
carpets
Jabo offers an extensive collection of carpets. Each rug lends itself perfectly as a rug. Always precisely tailored and in every shape and form.
Jabo likes to facilitate the most creative ideas. For example, our workshop is equipped with a state-of-the-art cutting machine. The most creative shapes are uploaded and immediately transformed into rugs' jewels.

carpets
Each carpet is available as a made-to-measure rug. And in any desired shape. From stair mats to complex rugs. And everything in between.
What about round or oval carpets, for example. Or combinations in different colours.
Especially with woven carpets, solid advice is very important.
Finishing We provide
each rug with the right finish. Exactly on the basis of your wishes. Vary in materials, bandwidth and colour.
And not to forget: The widely used volume finishing. Here the edges of the carpet are turned. This is only possible with most cut pile carpets.
