History

excellence since 1953

Around 1953 a controversial invention was made in the Netherlands. Jan Bosman invented a machine with which hemp, sisal and coconut fibres were processed into broadloom carpet. Woven woollen carpets found their origin on the same machines. Jabo became well-known and famous.

authentic

The brand Jabo became so well known that sisal was no longer called sisal. You went to the local interior decorator and bought Jabo. A memory that can be called nostalgic. Also a memory that is still very much alive in many people.

SPRINGLEVEND

Today, Jabo is alive and kicking. An independent company with a healthy collection of carpets and rugs. And a well-oiled organization in the background, providing a constant stream of development and innovation.

Together with the other well-known brand Van Besouw, Jabo has remained a stable factor in a rapidly changing market.

almost 70 years young

The urge to renew remains. Jabo is passionate about creating with natural and sustainable materials.

A natural base. To eventually make products that last a long time. As far as we are concerned, that is the correct translation of sustainability.
